The Indonesian government has introduced a "golden visa" program that aims to strengthen its economy by attracting foreign nationals and corporate investors. The government announced that this visa will provide residency for five to ten years. To qualify, individual applicants must establish a company in Indonesia with a value of USD 2.5 million for a five-year visa or USD 5 million for a ten-year visa. Employers and corporate investors need to invest USD 25 million (for a five-year visa) or USD 50 million (for a ten-year visa) for their directors and commissioners. Foreign nationals who are not interested in starting a company can alternatively invest in Indonesian government bonds, ranging from USD 350,000 to USD 700,000. Once these foreign nationals arrive in Indonesia with their golden visa, they won't need to apply for any additional permits for authorization to stay or work in the country.
