Iraq: Cessation of Visas-on-Arrival at Airports

Iraqi authorities have ceased offering visas-on-arrival at Iraqi airports. Foreign nationals who were previously eligible for a visa-on-arrival at Iraqi airports must now obtain a visa through the online e-visa portal before traveling to Iraq. This initiative aims to reduce airport wait times by ensuring that foreign nationals arrive with a pre-arranged visa, as opposed to applying for one upon arrival.
