Iraqi Kurdistan: New Work Permit, Health Insurance Requirements

Foreign nationals must now obtain a work permit if they wish to work in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. This permit costs IQD 110,000. Previously, to be eligible to work in the region, foreign nationals only needed an e-work visa and residency card. Additionally, residency applicants must now obtain Iraqi health insurance. The annual fee for health insurance is IQD 375,000. Previously, health insurance was not required.
