Ireland: Civil Service Entry Eligibility Expanded

On October 23, 2023, the Irish government announced that eligibility for civil service roles has been expanded to include foreign nationals who hold a Stamp 4 permission – a type of renewable residence permission that allows either work for any employer or self-employment. Through this change, the government is seeking to expand diversity and inclusivity within its public service. Last year, 20,259 Stamp 4 permissions were issued.
