Israel: Unskilled Labor Hiring Temporarily Allowed
April 4, 2024
Israel’s Ministry of Interior announced that foreign nationals in the non-expert category within the industrial sector can continue to have their prospective employers submit work permit applications on their behalf until April 14, 2024, if they have already received a recommendation from the Ministry of Economy and Welfare. The original deadline for applications was March 21, 2024, but was later extended until March 31, 2024. Employers should also be aware of the expiration dates on the issued work permits, as they expire within 120 days of issuance if not used.
