Italy: Job Offers for EU Blue Card Applications in Milan Require Specific Digital Signature
November 3, 2026
The Milan Prefecture Immigration Office has clarified that job offer letters in support of EU Blue Card applications filed within its jurisdiction must be signed by the employer either with a wet-ink signature or with a verifiable qualified digital signature, such as CAdES/P7M. Applications with job offers with other types of signatures (such as DocuSign or similar) will not be accepted. This rule is being applied to pending applications. As a result, authorities may request that affected applicants provide a newly signed document, which may delay application processing. Failure to provide an appropriately signed job-offer letter may result in rejection of applications.
