Kyrgyzstan: New Limits for Cumulative Stays for Visa-Exempt Nationals Introduced
November 16, 2023
Kyrgyzstan has introduced new cumulative stay limits for visa-exempt foreign nationals from several countries. Previously, nationals from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia, Serbia, Türkiye, and Ukraine were eligible to enter Kyrgyzstan visa-free for 90 days and could immediately return for a subsequent visa-free stay for another 90 days. Such nationals (except for Kazakh nationals) can now only remain in Kyrgyzstan visa free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period; while Kazakh nationals will be subject to these limitations from September 1, 2024. The situation is similar for nationals of Uzbekistan, as well as other nationals who are eligible for a 60-day visa-exempt stay in Kyrgyzstan, who can now only remain in Kyrgyzstan visa free for up to 60 days within any 120-day period.
