Effective November 2, 2026, the National Immigration Institute (INM) has expanded its online appointment system to include the following application types: initial temporary residence visa applications, regularization applications for foreign nationals with irregular immigration status and corporate registration applications and updates. These application types were previously excluded from the system. The system has undergone regular updates since it resumed operating in September 2024.

As a result of this change, applicants or their authorized representatives filing the above-mentioned application types must now book appointments online rather than appear at an INM branch to schedule an appointment to submit their applications. This change is expected to eventually streamline scheduling appointments for applications.

The requirement applies to application packages prepared but not yet submitted as of November 2, 2026, and these filings may be delayed depending on online appointment availability.

Appointments are currently available for November, but availability may decrease as slots fill.
