Minimum Salary Levels Increased

As of January 1, 2015, the minimum salary level for foreign workers has increased to 2,415 RON per month. Highly skilled workers’ minimum salary has increased to 9,600 RON per month.
The average gross salary for local hires – which is considered in the determination of the minimum salary for some foreign workers - has increased to 975 RON per month. This amount is expected to increase again in July 2015 to 1,050 RON per month.
Employers of foreign workers with dependents must comply with an increased minimum salary based on the number of dependents.
