Nigeria: Foreign National Quota Monthly Returns to Be Submitted Via e-CITIBIZ Platform

The Nigerian Federal Ministry of Interior has issued a public notice that requires companies to submit their foreign national quota monthly returns for positions taken up by foreign nationals or vacant positions, electronically via the government’s e-CITIBIZ platform. Previously, companies were only required to submit quota monthly returns to the Nigerian Immigration Service. Failure to file returns before December 2023 and every subsequent month within the first ten days of each month on the proper platforms will result in a fine varying from NGN 100,000 to NGN 200,000, depending on the number of days the return is overdue.
