Poland: Business Harbour Visas No Longer Available
January 30, 2024
Poland Business Harbour (PBH) ‘individual path’ visas are no longer available after Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs temporarily suspended the PBH program, citing concerns about potential PBH visa misuse. The other visa path available under the PBH program – the ‘business path’ visa – was suspended in November 2023. Individuals who currently hold a PBH visa can continue to live and work in Poland as their PBH visa will remain valid until its expiry date. However, if the individual seeks to continue living and working in Poland past the PBH expiration date, they will need to apply for a new residence permit before the expiration of their current PBH visa. The PBH visa program was launched in 2020 with the goal of attracting information technology specialists and companies. Employers of talent potentially affected by this policy change should consider alternative Polish visa options.
