Poland: New Rule Requires Submission of Employment Contracts Online
July 25, 2025
Poland has introduced new requirements for employers to submit the employment contract of any new foreign worker hired based on a work permit or a Special Permission on the online government Praca platform prior to the foreign worker starting work. Previously, employers did not need to submit their foreign employees’ work contracts. This requirement went into effect on July 1, 2025 for foreign nationals working on a Special Permission, and will go into effect on August 1, 2025 for foreign nationals working based on a work permit. In either case, the foreign employee will not be able to commence working until the contract is submitted. Employers who breach these rules face possible fines as well as revocation of the foreign national’s work authorization. This new rule does not apply to employees hired before the relevant dates.
