Due to the floods in Chennai, India, UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) has currently suspended priority visa services to applicants from South India and Sri Lanka applying at the following Visa Application Centres:
- Bangalore;
- Hyderabad;
- Cochin;
- Colombo; and
- Chennai.
UKVI is expected to reinstate priority service for these locations in mid-December and will update their website accordingly.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
Due to the suspension of UKVI services for some applicants, those who applied for their visas in the visa application centers listed above before December 1, 2015 may face delays. For further information, check the VFS website.
