Reuters: High UK Visa Costs Deter International Scientists and Engineers

Adding a partner and two children can increase upfront costs to £30,000. Researchers, employers and industry groups raise concerns that high visa and healthcare surcharge fees are making it more difficult to attract scientists and engineers from abroad.
