Singapore: Updates Introduced to Streamline Application and Document Upload Process
May 20, 2026
Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has announced updates to the myMOM Portal aimed at streamlining the submission process for work pass applications. Under the enhancements, a candidate’s details will be automatically pre-populated for existing Foreign Identification Number holders whose valid passport information has already been uploaded to the system. In addition, the application form will be reorganized to improve usability and simplify data entry requirements. MOM likewise aims to extend this automation to all applications with no prior or existing record by extracting details from the uploaded passport copy and entering them into the application form.
The MOM has also clarified updated travel document upload requirements. Applicants will only need to upload the biodata page of their travel document, while Amendments/Observation pages are required only if they reflect changes to the biodata page details. Each page must be saved as a single image file in an accepted format, including JPG, PNG or PDF. Uploaded images must be in landscape format and correctly oriented and the biodata page should be uploaded before any additional pages. Applicants should ensure all requirements are met to avoid delays in application processing.
