The Spanish government has released additional guidance on document requirements for those applying for International Teleworking visas/permits and Entrepreneurial visas/permits. Authorities have confirmed that individuals employed in regulated professions (i.e. doctor, lawyer, dentist, etc.) applying for an International Teleworking visa/permit must validate their degree. For those with professional training, authorities may also request validation of the training, although this is subject to authority discretion. These are general requirements for regulated professions in Spain, but guidance for this particular permit/visa type was previously unpublished. As for entrepreneurs, once immigration authorities confirm that an application is complete, they will request a report from the Spanish National Agency of Innovation (ENISA) (the public agency branch of the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism). Applicants will also submit documentation to this agency to support their application. These steps aid in determining whether the applicant’s intended activities are entrepreneurial.
