The State Department has reportedly decided to lift the worldwide visa appointment suspension that was to take place today and Monday, August 10. Earlier this week, foreign nationals with visa appointments set for August 7 or 10 were rescheduled to allow the agency to perform technical maintenance on consular systems.
It is not yet known whether visa appointments originally scheduled for August 7 or 10 will be automatically reinstituted. Affected foreign nationals should contact the relevant U.S. consulate and check the consulate’s online appointment system for specific instructions.
