Thailand: Temporary Visa-Free Entry Scheme Implemented for Tourists from India and Taiwan

Update May 9, 2024: The government has extended this visa exemption until November 11, 2024.
November 14, 2023: The Thai government has approved a temporary visa-free entry scheme for tourists from India and Taiwan. Until May 10, 2024, travelers from India and Taiwan can enter Thailand without a visa for tourism for up to 30 calendar days (or up to 15 calendar days if entering by land). Previously, travelers from India and Taiwan had to obtain an entry visa before traveling to Thailand for tourism. The government will review the temporary policy before it ends to determine whether to extend the policy.
