Times of India: Amid H-1B E-Registration Surge, USCIS Warns Against Misusing System

The Times of India reports that registrants for the H-1B lottery in 2023 had a 14.6% chance of selection, far lower than last year's selection rate of 26.9%. The low selection rate has caused concern for sponsoring employers who are unable to source skilled employees to fill required roles and has prompted USCIS to conduct an investigation into the increase in applications.
