United Kingdom: Care and Senior Care Worker Requirements Updated

Starting April 9, 2025, the following changes will be made to the requirements for sponsoring care workers and senior care workers:

• Sponsors in England must prioritise recruiting from the existing pool of care workers already in the United Kingdom before sponsoring new overseas H and C applicants. 
• Sponsors must provide confirmation from regional or sub-regional partnerships that they have attempted to recruit locally.

These new rules will not apply to Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, nor to existing sponsored care workers in England.
