Update - January 24, 2024: The UK government has further extended the offshore well boat concession until February 8, 2026, with the minimum annual salary under the concession having increased to GBP 26,200 (from the previous GBP 25,600).
Original entry - February 1, 2023: The UK government has extended a concession whereby foreign national workers working on offshore well boats, within UK territorial seas, employed by approved companies working for an annual salary of at least GBP 25,600, can enter the United Kingdom (with a transit visa if a visa national) and secure permission to stay for a period of six months at a time on providing proof of those facts, until February 8, 2024. The time spent in the United Kingdom under this concession does not count toward settlement requirements.
