This system replaces the requirement for a filing agent or third party vendor to register the employer online using their own login details. A filing agent can still file work authorization applications on behalf of an employer, but must use the employer’s login details.
System Registration and Visa Officer Visit
Sponsoring employers must register for the system online and upload company documents to the system, including the deed of establishment, the principal license and all amendments. The employer will receive confirmation that registration has been received and a visa officer appointment has been set. A visa officer should visit the employer within two weeks of registration to check for original corporate documents. After the documents are verified, the employer will receive company login details that can be used to access the system.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
Companies that have upcoming Telex VITAS filings should start the registration process as soon as possible. Companies can only file Telex VITAS applications after company login details have been issued.
Employers should ensure that their original corporate documents are in order in anticipation of the visa officer’s visit to avoid delays in the issuance of the company login details. If a visa officer does not visit the employer within two weeks of registration, the employer or its counsel should follow up with the Directorate General.
