Anel is an Associate at Fragomen’s Los Angeles office, where she counsels corporate clients on U.S. business immigration matters, including I-140 petitions and I-485 applications. She has experience with complex Requests for Evidence and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOID) responses for I-140, EB-1 petitions and adjustment of status applications. She also has experience with complex I-601 inadmissibility waivers.

As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, Anel has pursued her interest in immigration law since the beginning of her legal career. She has interned and worked for several nonprofit organizations and law firms, where she helped clients apply for asylum, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), adjustment of status, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), removal of conditions, re-entry permits and naturalization. Prior to joining Fragomen, Anel worked at a boutique employment-based immigration firm in Pasadena, CA, where she successfully handled various nonimmigrant visas, such as O, P, E-3, EB-1A, I-140, adjustment of status and consular processing cases, for clients in the entertainment industry.

Anel speaks English and Spanish.
