Bethelihem (Bethy) is an Associate at Fragomen’s Chicago office, where she advises clients on employment-based and family-based immigration matters, including immigrant visa petitions (Form I-140), family-based petitions (Form I-130), adjustment of status applications (Form I-485), employment authorization applications (Form I-765), advance parole applications (Form I-131) and naturalization applications (Form N-400). She also assists with USCIS inquiries and responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs).
Prior to joining Fragomen, Bethy was an attorney at a nonprofit organization in Chicago, where she advised clients on immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters, including family-sponsored petitions, family-based adjustment of status applications, affirmative asylum applications, asylee and refugee adjustment of status applications, DACA renewals and naturalization applications.
As an immigrant herself, Bethy understands the complexities and challenges of navigating the U.S. immigration system. This personal connection allows her to approach her work with empathy and a deeper understanding of her clients’ experiences while providing compassionate and effective legal representation to help clients achieve their immigration goals.
