Kaylia is an Associate at Fragomen’s Chicago office, where she primarily assists multinational corporations in the information technology and consulting sectors with employment-based immigration and permanent residence matters. Her practice includes advising clients on a wide variety of employment-based immigration matters, including nonimmigrant visa petitions such as TN, L-1 and H-1B filings. She also assists clients with employment-based permanent residence matters such as EB-1 petitions, I-140 immigrant petitions and Adjustment of Status applications.
Prior to joining Fragomen as an Associate, Kaylia served as a Summer Associate and Law Clerk in the firm’s Washington, DC office in 2024. In that role, she prepared a wide range of employment-based immigration filings, including H-1B, National Interest Waiver (NIW), L-1, O-1 and EB-1 petitions, as well as responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs). She has experience supporting corporate clients across a variety of industries, including research, technology and consulting.
In 2023 and 2019, Kaylia worked at a nonprofit organization in Miami where she drafted parole requests for humanitarian or significant public benefit reasons for clients. She also reviewed asylum and permanent residency applications to help clients prepare for lawful permanent resident status and assisted clients in preparing for their naturalization interviews.
