Maria is an Associate at Fragomen’s Miami office, where she assists clients with a variety of immigrant and nonimmigrant matters, including L-1, H-1B and I-140 petitions. She has partnered with international and domestic corporations and foreign investors to achieve their U.S. immigration needs. Maria currently represents luxury cruise lines and corporations in the telecommunications and information software industry.
Maria first joined Fragomen as a law clerk and returned to the firm after law school. During law school, Maria served as the President of the Immigration Law Society and was a Senior Staff Member for the FIU Law Review. She also previously worked in the U.S. Senate in Washington, DC and the Florida legislature in Tallahassee.
Maria’s recent pro bono efforts have included handling Special Immigrant Juvenile cases, volunteering at the Immigration Clinic throughout law school and participating in Temporary Protected Status clinics.
Maria speaks English and Spanish.
