Maria is an Associate at Fragomen's Atlanta office, where she provides strategic counsel to clients on the complete spectrum of U.S. immigration matters.

Maria’s clients range from small businesses to corporations and majority of her practice focuses on managing and facilitating immigration matters such as H-1B, TN, H-1B1, L-1A/L-1B, O-1, E-2, E-3 and PERM applications. Maria also has experience with filing less common nonimmigrant petitions, such as H-3, P-1B and O-2. She advises companies on I-9 compliance, E-Verify and immigration policies and has worked with individuals from various industries, including healthcare, science research and entrepreneurship to file their National Interest Waivers (NIW).

Prior to joining Fragomen, Maria worked at boutique business immigration law firms and a labor and employment firm in Chicago, IL, where she focused on startups and multinational companies in various sections such as consulting/staffing, I.T., nonprofits and the mining and agricultural industries.

Maria has provided pro bono services by preparing VAWA cases with the Legal Aid Society. She assists with legal strategy and preparation of complex family-based petitions, N-400s and asylum applications through the Chicagoland Immigrant Welcome Network. She prepared U visas at the National Immigrant Justice Center. 

Maria speaks English and Spanish.
