Pia joined Fragomen in 2007 and provides counsel on all major employment-based temporary and permanent visa categories to multinational companies of various sizes in a variety of industries, including financial services and IT consulting. Specifically, Pia advises on corporate immigration matters, including nonimmigrant visas, consular processing, permanent residence and citizenship. She ensures clients’ compliance with immigration laws, Department of Labor regulations and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services policies. She also advises clients regarding the immigration implications of corporate mergers and acquisitions and I-9 employment verification.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Pia was an associate attorney with a securities litigation firm in New York, NY.

While in law school, Pia was a legal intern with the United Nations, Office of Legal Affairs assisting with the codification of international law and an extern with the International Center for Transitional Justice reviewing truth commission witness testimony from Sierra Leone. Pia was a member of the International Law Society at Brooklyn Law School and is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Pia speaks English, Spanish and Swedish.
