2024 Biregional IV and V Conference

Partner Sarah Peterson will speak on two panels at the NAFSA Biregional IV and V conference in Schaumburg, Illinois. Her first panel, titled "PERM - One Year After the New ETA Form 9089," will take place on October 31 at 9:00 AM. This session will focus on the implementation of the new Form ETA 9089 by OFLC, effective June 1, 2023, and the ongoing wait for adjudications. It will cover trends, strategies for completing Form 9141, SVP analysis for Business Necessity, and provide key changes and recommendations. The second panel, "Physician Immigration in 2024," will begin at 2:15 PM and address the physician shortage, highlighting the critical role of International Medical Graduates (IMGs) in ensuring healthcare access in the U.S. Speakers will discuss the IMG journey from ACGME-accredited training through the J-1 waiver process and employment options.
