Azerbaijan: Work Permit Holders Applying from Abroad Must Now Submit Medical Certificates Upon Arrival
April 22, 2025
Foreign nationals whose work permit application was submitted during their stay outside Azerbaijan must now provide medical certification (including a general statement of health, as well as certifications regarding certain viruses) to the migration authority within 10 days of their arrival, otherwise their work permit will be cancelled. Such documentation can be provided in person, by email or via a separate temporary residence permit application process. Previously, such individuals did not need to provide a medical certificate to the migration authority (unless they applied for a separate temporary residence permit). Additionally, it is no longer possible to download electronic work permit through the migration authority’s online platform until the applicant submits the medical certificate.
