
Individuals traveling to Ecuador who are nationals or residents of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, or Peru, or who have spent more than 10 days in any of those countries prior to arrival, are now required to present a valid International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever. The certificate must confirm that the vaccine was administered at least 10 days before entry. Passengers without this certificate will be denied entry to Ecuador, except for Ecuadorian citizens and residents, who may receive the vaccine upon arrival from a Ministry of Health team at the airport. In addition, Ecuadorian nationals and residents planning travel to the Amazonian provinces of Sucumbíos, Orellana, Napo, Pastaza, Morona Santiago, or Zamora Chinchipe must also be vaccinated at least 10 days before traveling to these regions, unless they have already been immunized.
