A federal judge late Friday issued a nationwide stay of President Donald Trump’s January 27 executive order forbidding the entry of foreign nationals from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen to the United States.
Fragomen is reviewing the injunction and monitoring the government's response as developments unfold rapidly. We will provide information on the injunction's impact to travelers as soon as possible.
The injunction was issued in a federal challenge to the executive order brought by the State of Washington, which has been joined by the State of Minnesota in the lawsuit. The case is State of Washington v. Trump, No. 2:17-cv-00141-JLR (W.D.Wash., January 30, 2017).
