Washington, D.C. – June 9, 2025 – Fragomen, the world’s leading provider of immigration services, announces the appointment of Partner Daniel Brown to the position of Chief Executive Officer of WorkRight U.S., the firm’s I-9 employee verification technology. In his new role, Brown will oversee the strategic direction and operations of the I-9 Service Center and work closely with Robert Horsley, Chief Operating and Product Officer, WorkRight U.S. to ensure WorkRight’s compliance solutions are responsive to the shifting needs of employers nationwide, particularly in light of changing government requirements and increased enforcement.
“Dan’s unparalleled mastery and insight into both the regulatory and practical aspects of employment verification make him the ideal leader to help guide our clients through the current compliance landscape,” said Enrique Gonzalez, Fragomen Co-Chair. “We’re confident Dan and Robert will help position our clients for long-term success.”
Brown is one of the leading attorneys in the country focused on I-9 and employment verification compliance. A former senior official at the Department of Homeland Security, he has served as Associate General Counsel for Immigration and as Director of Policy at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He has advised previous administrations on electronic I-9 regulations and co-authored the American Bar Association’s Immigration Compliance and Best Practices guide.
“This leadership transition comes at a pivotal time, as U.S. employers face mounting compliance challenges related to employment verification. Fragomen continues to blend technology solutions and legal advisory services as part of our commitment to providing comprehensive solutions that support clients with the functionality they need while ensuring they maintain a strong compliance profile,” said Brown.
WorkRight is Fragomen's proprietary technology platform that helps companies address the complexities of government right to work requirements, wherever employees are in the world. It is a holistic end-to-end solution that facilitates initial and ongoing Right to Work checks in over 100 countries.
“Dan’s deep understanding of both policy and practical implementation will be instrumental as we continue to evolve our platform and services,” added Horsley, “Together, we’re focused on delivering technology-enabled compliance solutions that are not only robust and reliable, but also adaptable to our clients’ real-world needs.”
