Irish Building: Businesses advised to step up immigration compliance amid increased government inspections

While the Irish government has typically focused on enforcing immigration compliance in industries where “casual work” is more commonplace, Partner Ángel Bello-Cortés shares with Irish Building  that industries across the board should expect more government inspections.

The legal framework for penalties regarding illegal employment and immigration compliance breaches is clearly laid out in the Employment Permits Act and doesn’t require legislative action for increased focus on compliance by authorities.
