Recent shifts in H-1B policy have reshaped post-graduation employment advising for international students. This session will explore how advising teams are navigating conversations beyond F-1 OPT and STEM OPT, including alternative pathways, advising boundaries, and approaches to supporting informed, realistic decision-making.

Discussion topics will include:

•  How recent H-1B policy changes are influencing post-graduation advising conversations
• Common employment pathways that arise outside the scope of F-1 employment
• How advising offices define roles, responsibilities, and boundaries in these discussions
