On 4 March 2026, the current special legal framework governing the stay and employment of Ukrainian citizens in Poland is scheduled to expire. At the same time, the Polish government is currently drafting a new law to regulate the legal status of Ukrainian citizens in Poland after 4 March 2026. These upcoming changes will significantly affect employers’ compliance obligations, available employment procedures, and the overall legal status of Ukrainians working in Poland.
