Newsweek: Trump's 'Gold Card' Would Offer Tax Benefit Unavailable to Americans

President Trump’s proposed “Gold Card” could potentially exempt ultra-high-net-worth individuals from having to pay US taxes on foreign income.

Partner Rahul Soni told Newsweek that for the “Gold Card” to create this type of tax loophole, changes to the structure of the immigration system would need to be made to create a “differentiating factor” between this pathway and other green card options. While the tax benefit could be appealing, Rahul noted that clients have yet to show significant interest, as many are waiting for more details before assessing its impact.
