Rutgers Law School will host a symposium on immigration and citizenship law from April 3–4, 2025, organized by the Rutgers University Law Review, the Center for Immigrant Justice, and the Institute for Professional Education. The event will open with remarks from Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and feature a keynote address by former UC Davis Law Dean Kevin Johnson. The symposium will include five panels on key topics such as mass deportation, AI in immigration enforcement, citizenship restrictions, immigrant labor, and immigration federalism.
