Republic of Congo: Certain Immigration Applications Now Issued in Applicants’ City of Residence
May 4, 2026
The Republic of the Congo’s Ministry of Interior requires applicants for accommodation certificates, residence cards and long-stay visas to apply in their city of residence. Previously, applicants based in other cities could apply in Brazzaville, where applications were accepted and issued regardless of residence. As a result of this change, applicants must now rely on local offices, which may have slower processing times, potentially leading to delays in receiving application outcomes.
