September 2014 Visa Bulletin: Further Advancement for EB-2 India, But No Movement for Most Other EB Categories
August 12, 2014
According to the State Department’s September Visa Bulletin, the EB-2 category will advance by more than three months for India, to May 1, 2009. The EB-3 category will advance by ten months for the Philippines, to April 1, 2011. However, no other backlogged employment-based green card categories will advance in September, the last month of FY 2014.
The EB-2 India advancement is due to the application of unused immigrant visas from other categories. According to the agency, further EB-2 India advancement cannot be guaranteed, and in fact the category could be retrogressed as early as November 2014. Though EB-3 China was projected to advance further in September, no such movement will occur next month.
