Sponsor licence revocations are affecting the UK hospitality sector amid a wider enforcement wave across all industries. In an article for The Caterer, Senior Manager Louise Senior highlights that nearly 2,000 licences were revoked across all sectors in the past year, more than double the previous year. Hospitality businesses now face announced or unannounced audits, with officers reviewing employee records, recruitment practices and right to work checks.
Employers are advised to conduct internal audits, train teams on compliance requirements and ensure policies align with UKVI expectations. These measures help maintain licence status and reduce the risk of fines, licence revocation, operational disruption or reputational impact.
