Claire is a Practice Leader in Fragomen’s Cork office. She has 15 years of experience in the Irish immigration sector including assisting corporate clients to comply with Irish immigration requirements. Claire’s areas of focus include employment permits, visa applications, residency applications and family reunification. She has experience making written and oral submissions to government departments and the Irish legislature on immigration reform and employment permits.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Claire worked in both the non-governmental (NGO) and corporate sectors, providing support to non-EEA nationals from diverse backgrounds. She has volunteered as an independent youth advocate for the Irish Refugee Council.

Board member, Irish US Alumni Association

Experience

Advocated on behalf of clients with the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service and the Garda National Immigration Bureau in relation to visa applications, registration requirements, residency applications, family reunification and citizenship.

Advised and assisted corporate clients, highly skilled migrant workers and their family members in relation to employment permit applications including Critical Skills Employment Permits, General Employment Permits and Intra Company Transfers.

Identified and developed casework for strategic litigation relating to residency rights for parents of Irish citizen children.

Worked in coalition with partners to successfully secure a pathway to independent immigration permission for migrant victims of domestic violence in Ireland.

Managed the delivery of a specialised legal information and advocacy service in the NGO sector.
