Fragomen Ireland, together with EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum and the Irish Family History Centre, invites you to join us for a special event exploring Irish citizenship, ancestry and the story behind the Irish passport. As Ireland continues to welcome individuals seeking to reconnect with their heritage, this session will combine practical immigration insights with historical and cultural perspectives on Irish identity.
Fragomen’s Private Client team will share guidance on the benefits of Irish citizenship, eligibility criteria and the Foreign Birth Registration process, including documentation requirements and common challenges faced by applicants.
Complementing these insights, experts from EPIC and the Irish Family History Centre will explore the origins and evolution of the Irish passport — from the first Irish Free State passport issued in 1923 to its role through times of change and the modern stories that continue to connect Ireland with its global diaspora.
