With more than 20-plus years of experience in the global mobility and immigration law space and extensive experience managing international teams, George provides strategic advice to companies in a variety of sectors including technology, energy, finance, pharmaceutical, banking and venture capital among others in the establishment, running and enhancement of their European and global immigration programs. Clients greatly appreciate George’s ability to provide a holistic, practical, solutions-oriented approach, especially for complex matters spanning the varying immigration requirements of the 27 EU member states and beyond.

George also serves on Fragomen’s Executive Committee, helping to set and drive the firm’s strategic vision and philosophy, manage its worldwide operations and ensure it remains progressive, agile, efficient, innovative and consistent across all its jurisdictions.

In his capacity as the Managing Partner Europe, responsible for overseeing Fragomen’s practices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, Paris and Zurich as well as coordinated jurisdictions, George works with his teams to set the strategy for the operation of those offices and ensures they are aligned with firm and regional client-service models. George also guides new office openings in key jurisdictions and engages preeminent talent to staff those offices to meet the clients’ expansions or workforce requirements. Importantly, George and his team nurture relationships with local governments and agencies to help effect immigration policy.

A champion of the intersection of process, technology and global mobility, George serves on several committees focused on the use of data to provide clients with key information about their matters, complex case escalation, certainty and assurance about the entire immigration process. Additionally, he works closely with the firm’s technology innovators to enhance processes, client onboarding and service.

As a first-generation immigrant, George developed an interest in immigration and the movement of people around the globe early in his life. He has channeled a strong work ethic into helping economies grow through migration and the fulfillment of critical job roles. He is proud of his contribution to keeping the wheels of global commerce turning while also making a difference in people’s lives.

George speaks English and Greek.

Experience

Oversaw the development of regionalized process and operations team, and the roll out of expanded of services in numerous European jurisdictions, including posted worker and social security. Opened offices in Amsterdam and Geneva in response to client demand.

Advised a diverse range of clients, including start-ups, SMEs and international corporates in the financial, information technology, legal, international consultancy, sports and professional services sectors, among others.

Global engagement partner leading immigration service delivery for a number of Blue Chip clients within Europe and globally.

Advised numerous multinational corporations on the immigration aspects of business acquisitions and divestures, typically within tight timeframes.
