Jannet is a Director based in Fragomen’s Sydney office. She is a Solicitor with more than sixteen years of experience in immigration law. Jannet has provided immigration advice and assistance to a number of varied clients from individuals through to large corporations across a number of sectors.

Jannet’s current focus is the training and development of Fragomen’s graduates and lawyers and coordinating the Pro Bono programs in the Australian practice. Jannet provides pro bono immigration services to the Marrickville Legal Rights Centre and has previously provided services to Immigration Advice and Rights Centre Inc. (IARC) and the Redfern Legal Centre.

She also continues to assist corporate and individual clients with a range of permanent residency applications, including employer nomination schemes, general skilled migration, partner visas, parent visas, child visas, resident return visas and citizenship applications.

Experience

Assisted corporate clients, including many of the firm’s largest global clients, with a wide range of visa applications including temporary business, short term business and employer nominated permanent residence.

Advised corporate clients on immigration compliance matters and strategies for the transfer of expatriates to Australia.

Worked with clients on complex health and character issues in connection with temporary and permanent visa applications.

Conducted training sessions for corporate clients at the HR and employee levels.

Advised and assisted individual clients on general skilled, family relationship, students, visitors, resident return and citizenship applications.
