Mayu is an Associate at Fragomen’s Silicon Valley office, where she assists corporate clients with a variety of business immigration matters. Mayu is dedicated to understanding clients’ needs and strategizing with their best interests in mind. Her practice includes preparing and filing nonimmigrant visa petitions (H-1B, L-1A/B), labor certifications, immigrant visa petitions (EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3) and adjustment of status applications. She also prepares compelling responses to Request for Evidence.
Prior to joining Fragomen, Mayu served as an attorney at a boutique immigration law firm in New York City and the Bay Area. In this capacity, she assisted clients throughout all stages of the process for obtaining temporary and permanent visa petitions. She also accompanied clients to permanent residency/naturalization interviews.
Mayu has provided pro bono support to low-income families through the Housing Opportunities Collaborative and organized fundraisers through the Public Interest Law Foundation.
Mayu speaks English and Japanese.
