Reika is a qualified UK solicitor, heads Fragomen’s Japan practice at our London office and provides guidance to UK-based Japanese companies with respect to all UK immigration matters. Reika not only advises on all types of UK work permission/visa applications for expats and their families, entrepreneurs and investors, but also on immigration compliance, illegal working legislation, HR recruitment policy and procedures, and strategic immigration planning.

Reika also frequently provides HR training and speaks at seminars on immigration policy changes, as well as how the strategic use of international assignments and global immigration compliance helps improve management business plans. Prior to joining Fragomen, Reika established and led the UK inbound immigration practice focused on the Japanese market in Big Four accounting firms. Having worked for Japanese corporate clients of all sizes in a wide selection of industries including financial services, pharmaceutical, industrial and manufacturing, energy, insurance, and retail, Reika possesses deep knowledge and a thorough understanding of working practices and cultural norms that are unique to Japanese business operations.

Reika uses a hands-on approach to exceed the needs and expectations of clients, utilizing her extensive technical knowledge, experience, and language skills to remove language and cultural barriers and reduce or eliminate administrative burdens for her clients.

Reika speaks English, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.
