Supporting our communities on the ground
How we give back to the people and causes most important to us
Giving back where we serve
We know that immigration is an intricate and personal process. For some people, it means taking the next step in their career. For others, it's about keeping their families safe from persecution or creating a new life free from oppression, fear or extreme poverty.
At Fragomen, we have a deep history of giving back to the communities where we live and work—and we carry that through to today. We’re committed to serving the less fortunate, so our professionals share their skills to create better access to quality advice and legal counsel (where possible) for significant numbers of immigrants in need.
From work at the U.S. border to supporting international students in Australia, we’re working across the globe to provide advice and community support where it’s needed most.
Virtual Venezuelan Temporary Protected Status clinics
Professionals in our Boston office have partnered with Legal Services for Greater Lawrence Community Action Council in Massachusetts. Together, we were able to help over 150 Venezuelans with their Temporary Protected Status applications.
Partnering with Safe Passage Project
We’ve partnered with the Safe Passage Project in New York City to help with legal screenings of immigrant children who are in the process of removal proceedings. These children aren’t entitled to court-appointed counsel, but the Safe Passage Project ensures they get the information they need to understand the process and their options.
Seeking immigration justice
We supported the (New York) City Bar's Immigrant Justice Project to assist asylum seekers fleeing persecution in their home countries, survivors of violent crimes in the U.S., and individuals seeking humanitarian protection by matching them with pro bono attorneys and providing them with mentoring, training and guidance throughout the representation.
For many years, we have partnered with Justice Connect, an independent, not-for-profit organization in Australia that is committed to delivering access to justice by providing pro bono legal service to people experiencing disadvantage and the community organizations that support them. Fragomen receives referrals for cases that are of public interest in the immigration space and works tirelessly to resolve them.
Partnering with Embassies’ Humanitarian Departments in the UAE
We partner with the humanitarian departments of embassies in the UAE to support their nationals who may require guidance and support from an immigration perspective to regularize their status in the country or assist with their paperwork.
Partnering with Here for Good
Fragomen has partnered with Here for Good to provide immigration advice for matters relating to the EU Settlement Scheme. We attended events at the London Mayor’s office to provide free advisory services and subsequent tailored application support.
…crucial to the expansion of the charity's advisory service. Lawyers from Fragomen take on urgent cases for the charity pro bono and have helped us to grow the service to ensure that we can help all those who need it.

Fragomen in the community
Beyond donating our professional services, Fragomen team members are equally devoted to donating their time. We participate in multiple non-profit initiatives across the world, ensuring we give back to our communities, wherever we are.
Giving to kids in need
Our team in London recently partnered up with Project Dirt to participate in the first Transformation Day at Adamsrill Primary School, which caters to underprivileged children in the area, helping them to enter a school that feels warm and welcoming.
Keeping families together
Fragomen supports Reunite Families, a charity that aims to affect change in the UK immigration system for family members applying to join or stay with people settled in the UK. Fragomen provides ad hoc advice and application support for separated families in need.
Helping kids get the care they need
Our team in Canada works closely with the Herbie Fund to provide the immigration services needed to bring children from around the world to The Hospital for Sick Children, so they can receive lifesaving or life-altering surgeries that may not be available in their home countries.
