Charlotte is a dual qualified U.S. attorney and UK solicitor and heads up the firm’s global consular and document team—also the largest U.S. immigration team outside of the U.S./Canada—providing key, on-the-ground support to clients with a variety of immigration matters at consulates and embassies.

Charlotte and her team are often the final piece of the immigration puzzle but offering strategic assistance at the outset. Using local U.S. Government liaison to provide support in the home country and enabling an embedded end-to-end service. The on-ground support, in local time zones focuses on the user experience.

Because of the depth and breadth of her work, Charlotte can work with a wide swath of clients, including private and high-net-worth individuals, celebrities, athletes, as well as small to medium-sized business across several industries, while also supporting Fragomen’s largest corporate accounts. She is known for executing solutions for extremely complex cases and she and her team often create bespoke models for different clients.

Specifically, Charlotte and her teamwork with clients to manage applications for U.S. nonimmigrant visas, with a particular niche in criminal inadmissibility and entrepreneurs/new company set ups including E Treaty applications. Services extend to immigrant visas and family-based applications and further into services like U.S. citizenship acquisition and renunciation.

Charlotte’s team is also heavily involved in project management and movement of large populations, like U.S. graduate training programs. These are managed through workforce planning and risk profiling, including administrative processing/security related considerations. This strategic assistance sets clients expectations and provides a true work ready assessment.

This technical experience and commercial awareness, coupled with local Government liaison was especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic travel ban when Charlotte and her team were able to expedite the appointments of 3,000 National Interest Exception applicants.

Due to the nature of the immigration matters before her, Charlotte provides her clients with high-touch, concierge service, including ongoing support and preparation for the clients’ interaction with consular personnel. She easily builds trust with her clients – an important component of overall client service as she is often told that without her, the client would have not been able to receive their visa.

Charlotte began her career as a paralegal at a U.S. boutique law firm in New York and fostering a strong interest in the U.S. immigration process and the ability to have direct input into the visa application. She became a U.S. attorney and worked at one of the Big Four before coming to Fragomen and exponentially growing the consular team from a single member to a global team of 100-plus today.

Due to her extensive experience and practice focus, Charlotte has served as a legal expert in court and has provided comments on E visa Treaty reform to the Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship and House Committee on the Judiciary.

Experience

Provision of full U.S. consular assistance for nonimmigrant and immigrant matters filed at U.S. embassies across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region with particular focus on E company registrations for SME clients and waivers of inadmissibility. Other areas of focus include local USCIS filings for spousal immigrant visas and American citizen services, including complex citizenship cases and renunciation of U.S. citizenship.
