Case-Study-Challenge

A multinational technology company needed to transfer a senior executive to expand one of its business verticals in the UAE. The executive, a Palestinian national with a Syrian-issued travel document, planned to relocate with her family.

Case-Study-Solution

  • We immediately scheduled a high-touch call with the executive and followed it up with a summary of what the applicant could expect, as well as the steps that we would take to proactively manage any challenges we anticipated. We proposed collating additional supporting documentation and placing our dedicated consular team on standby to legalize family documentation expeditiously.
  • We adopted a holistic, two-pronged approach that involved proactive and high-touch communications by the case team (to keep the executive abreast of all developments and strategies) and our local government relations team, which leveraged its deep knowledge of government processes to provide additional supporting documentation to strengthen our case.

Case-Study-Result

The executive’s request was granted. Upon entering the UAE, a Fragomen team member accompanied the executive to her medical examination and to obtain her residence permit. As dependents can only be sponsored for residency once the principal finalizes their residency process, our proactive approach to document legalization meant that the applicant’s family was ready to join her without delay. The executive referred to the move as “life-changing.”
